So what essential points should be considered in order to ensure that your caravan tyres are both durable and safe? For a start, you'll want to make sure that your caravan tyres have the correct specifications, especially if you've replaced the originals. Overloaded tyres will quickly become overheated, increasing the likelihood of a blowout and a ruined trip. Finally, despite all your maintenance efforts, tyres will inevitably suffer some degradation however little they are used. That's why it's a good idea to replace your tyres every 5 years or so, changing all the tyres at same time to maintain the even distribution of the caravan's weight. This will help to ensure that your caravan is fully protected against the dangers which punctures present, although if worst comes to worst, puncture repairs kits are sufficient to keep your caravan temporarily on the road so that you can make it to a garage.
